OCVIBE Anaheim Update: What’s Happening Around Honda Center

OCVIBE construction continues to transform the area surrounding Honda Center in Anaheim, California, with several major components of the mixed-use district moving toward openings beginning in 2027.

For Anaheim homeowners—particularly those living in Anaheim 92806 and near the Platinum Triangle—OCVIBE is one of the most significant local developments to follow.

According to the City of Anaheim, OCVIBE is part of the city's broader planning for the Platinum Triangle, the area encompassing Honda Center, Angel Stadium and the ARTIC transit center. The city's vision for the area includes sports and entertainment along with housing, dining, shopping, workplaces, parks and open space. Anaheim

What Is New at OCVIBE This Week?

OCVIBE's official news page lists its most recent item on September 13. There has not been a newer major project announcement posted there during the past week. OCVibe

That doesn't mean activity has stopped. Construction continues, and several previously announced projects are moving closer to their planned 2027 openings.

OCVIBE Concert Hall Is Scheduled for March 2027

One of the most visible pieces of OCVIBE is the new 5,000-person-capacity concert hall.

OCVIBE's current concert-hall page says construction is well underway and the venue is scheduled to open its doors in March 2027. The venue is planned for concerts and other live entertainment and will complement the much larger Honda Center. OCVibe

This is an important milestone because OCVIBE is being developed not simply as an arena district, but as a destination intended to attract visitors throughout the year.

Katella Commons Brings New Dining to Anaheim

Another major part of the first phase is Katella Commons, a 50,000-square-foot, two-story market hall.

Plans call for 21 chef-driven kitchens plus six bar and lounge concepts. In August, OCVIBE announced another group of culinary operators, including Anaheim- and Orange County-connected businesses such as MFK | Modern Filipino Kitchen and Don Churros Gomez. OCVibe

OCVIBE says Katella Commons is expected to welcome guests in early 2027 following the opening of the concert hall. OCVibe

The Weave Adds a New Workplace Component

OCVIBE is also adding a substantial employment and office component.

The Weave is a six-story, approximately 168,000-square-foot mass-timber office building adjacent to Honda Center. Flexible workspace operator Kiln has committed to a full floor and is expected to open there in 2027. OCVibe

The location will put office workers within walking distance of dining, entertainment, public spaces and ARTIC.

How Large Will OCVIBE Eventually Become?

OCVIBE's current project website describes plans that ultimately include:

  • 20 acres of parks and plazas
  • 3 miles of connected walking trails
  • 35+ restaurant offerings
  • 2,000+ residences and affordable homes
  • 168,000 square feet of office space
  • 500+ hotel rooms
  • Entertainment venues and approximately 25,000 total entertainment seats across the district. OCVibe

OCVIBE says development will continue in phases, with guests beginning to experience major portions of the district in 2027. OCVibe

What Could OCVIBE Mean for Anaheim 92806 Real Estate?

This is where we believe it is important to separate confirmed development facts from potential real estate effects.

It is confirmed that OCVIBE is bringing substantial new dining, entertainment, office space, public spaces, trails and eventually housing to the area surrounding Honda Center. OCVibe

What cannot yet be stated as fact is that OCVIBE will cause existing homes in Anaheim 92806 to appreciate by a particular amount—or even that every nearby property will benefit equally.

Home prices are affected by many variables, including mortgage rates, housing supply, buyer demand, comparable sales, property condition and broader economic conditions.

What OCVIBE can do is change the surrounding neighborhood environment and the amenities available to nearby residents. That makes the project worth monitoring for homeowners considering selling, buying or investing in Anaheim.
