This sensitively restored 1954 post and beam home was originally designed by Palmer & Krisel, AIA and remains an excellent example of the architects' work. The walled pool property is positioned centrally in the celebrated mid-century modern neighborhood of Corbin Palms, where the architects William Krisel and Dan Saxon Palmer had their first significant collaboration with the Alexander Construction Co - designing and building 287 modern homes here. This architect/contractor collaboration building entire neighborhoods made good design accessible. William Krisel liked the Corbin Palms project so much, he and his wife bought one of the homes several blocks away on Jumilla for themselves. 19733 Victory Blvd features many of the original design features that made these homes unique - exposed beams, open plan, broad overhangs, large windows, and clerestories that celebrate the low gable roof. Recent updates to the property include an insulated tongue and groove ceiling, remodeled pool and garden, custom cabinetry, new flooring, as well as plumbing and electrical upgrades. This four bedroom, two and half bath home is larger than the typical Corbin Palms properties because a den was added in the 1960s that seamlessly matches the original design.
